Boston Town Crier’s Private 4 Hour Walking Tour begins at the Boston Common Visitor’s Center (139 Tremont St.) and covers the entire Freedom Trail, ending at the Bunker Hill Monument in Charlestown. On the way, our engaging, costumed guide will introduce you to the history and drama of the Boston Massacre site, the Old South Meeting House (starting point of the Boston Tea Party), Faneuil Hall, the Granary Burying Ground, Paul Revere’s House, the Old North Church, and the U.S.S. Constitution.
You will end the tour in historic Charlestown, where there is even more to explore!
Our private tours are ideal for school field trips and educational groups of all kinds! Private tours are one price for up to 20 attendees (all ages). For larger groups, please call to book: 617-794-7512. We are flexible with our starting and ending times to accommodate school groups.
We meet and begin the tour at the Boston Common Visitor’s Center (139 Tremont St.), across from Dunkin Donuts and McDonalds where Tremont and West St. intersect.
The best parking location is the Boston Common Garage (entrance on Charles St.).

Our Public tours are capped at a maximum of 40 people to ensure that everyone in the group can properly follow along with their guide. Private tours are capped at 20 people. If you have a larger group, contact us in advance and we will make arrangements to accommodate you.
Our Public Tour lasts 90 minutes and covers 1 mile. We also offer a 3 hour Private Tour which covers 1.5 miles and an Extended Private Tour which covers 2.5 miles.
Yes, the Freedom Trail is on the public streets of Boston and is wheelchair and handicap accessible. The only challenging stop is the Granary Burying Ground, where there is a separate gate that is easier for wheelchairs to enter.
No, our tour stops in front of the buildings but does not enter them.
Yes, pets that are under the control of their owners are welcome on our tours.

Massachusetts weather can certainly be unpredictable, but you can count on us to run your tour rain or shine. The tour may be cancelled with a full refund in the event of extreme weather.
Water, weather appropriate clothing, and comfortable walking shoes. You may want to bring an umbrella since we will be outside the entire time.
